Hot Air Balloon Rides

Hot air balloon rides are not just a "summer activity" in the Vail Valley! Temperatures actually decrease as you rise, making for a very enjoyable ride. Witness the breathtaking views of the Vail Valley and the Gore Mountain Range from an exhilerating height. Tours include transportation, champagne, a certificate, and a ceremony. Full excursion includes approximately 60-75 minutes of flight time, while “A Taste of Ballooning,” offers 30-40 minutes of flight time. Contact your Concierge for more information!

Fly Fishing

Avid fishermen from all over the nation come to the Vail Valley to catch our famous trout! Spend a day with a guide or fish on your own. Guided trips are available for half or full-day excursions and include transportation, fly or spin rods, waders, a professional guide, and a snack. Our Concierge highly recommends Gore Creek Flyfisherman, winner of the the Vail Daily's "Best Fly Shop/ Guide Service" for 2009/2010 for trips. Ice Climbing

Enjoy the winter landscapes of East Vail or Red Cliff while taking part in this unique activity with family and friends.  Experts with proven track records will cater to your unique needs and abilities.  All equipment is provided; the only thing necessary for you to bring is a sense of adventure! Ski Tours

With over 3500 acres of terrain to explore within the White River National Forest, you will receive a backcountry experience second to none. The breathtaking scenery, world class terrain, and dedicated crew will ensure an adventure which will not be forgotten. Lunch is provided on this all-day excursion, and all participants must be advanced intermediate or expert skiiers/snowboarders. Head to the top of Vail Mountain to Adventure Ridge and enjoy the rush of adrenaline as you are whisked downhill. No more trudging uphill after a ride down - an easy access surface lift will bring you back to the top! Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult and all tubers must be at least 36 inches tall.

Meadow Mountain Tubing Hill is located just off I-70 between Vail and Beaver Creek. Groomed runs are wide enough for the whole family to sled down together! Enjoy hot chocolate and snacks when you need a break. 970-827-4155

Dog Sledding

Break away from the crowds and travel through untouched meadows and forests of Aspen and Pine. Fun for all ages, view wildlife in its natural element and take in the breathtaking Colorado landscape. Sleigh Rides

4-Eagle Ranch: Providing round-trip transportation, 4-Eagle Ranch in Wolcott offers a variety of sleigh rides that will be sure to create lasting memories. Sleigh ride dinners allow your family to experience Colorado the way it used to be! Crisp mountain air, clear night skies, and a warm mug of cider by the fireplace await you. Private sleigh rides also available.

Bearcat Stables:  Located just west of Vail, Bearcat Stables invites you to enjoy the pristine Rocky Mountains with one of their beautiful sleigh rides. Enjoy a hot drink and the sound of sleigh bells as you ride under the night sky. Finish the sleigh ride with an elegant, fireside dinner at Cordillera's Timber Hearth Grille. Shorter sleigh rides are also available. Round-trip transportation provided to guests staying in Avon, Beaver Creek, Edwards, and Vail.
