Vail Nature CenterFly Fishing and Stream Ecology Classes are offered by the Vail Nature Center. Spend a morning by the river learning about the ecology, environment and conservation of streams. Further offerings include learning the techniques of fly-fishing with patient, qualified instructors.
Betty Ford Alpine Gardens - Learn and Grow Programs
Betty Ford Alpine Gardens offers weekly programs designed for those between ages 5 - 10. Every Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30, beginning in mid-June and running through August, classes meet at the amphitheater but most of the time is in the gardens. Call for more details, 970.476.0103.

With Gore Creek running right through Vail, kids have the perfect opportunity to enjoy the sport of trout fishing. Gear can be rented in many shops in town, or bring your own!

Adventure Ridge at Eagle's Nest Adventure Ridge
Enjoy a breathtaking gondola ride to Vail Mountain's Adventure Ridge, where everyone can enjoy a round of disc golf and the kids can hunt for buried bones at the Dino Dig. For those of you who are adventurous, try a half-day mountain bike workshop or the BMX course. Then, sit back and relax on Vail's largest on-mountain deck, enjoy a true Colorado sunset and sample the casual cuisine of the Blue Moon Bar & Restaurant or the outdoor BBQ at Talon's Deck.
Camp VailFor kids ages 3-12, Camp Vail and Pre-Kamp Vail offer the most energetic day programs in Vail. Campers may participate in art, drama, nature discovery, caving, orienteering, swimming, golf, fishing, climbing and more. Early enrollment is suggested as the camps often reach capacity.
Gore Range Natural Science School Children from elementary to high school age enjoy interactive, interpretive learning sessions with the award-winning instructors of the Gore Range Natural Science School. The school endeavors to inspire and empower individuals to create positive change in their communities and surrounding landscapes through nature education.
Mountain Bike Camps
Riders of all ages and abilities learn the basics of mountain biking, safety and bike maintenance, while making new friends and enjoying the great outdoors with a world-class staff. Vail's accomplished racers and instructors also offer women-only classes and intensive camps for young racers.
Ice Skating at Dobson Ice Arena
Vail's year round skating facility offers public skating at select times.
Vail Skate Park
Located on the top deck of Lionshead Parking Structure. Helmets required, open daylight hours from June through the beginning of October.

Vail Mountain Bike Camps newly is in their eleventh season. They offer twelve Kid's Camps throughout the summer,and a Race Academy.
Vail Kids Eco CampThe Vail Nature Center joins Vail Youth Services for a unique 2-day per week camp that encourages the participants to explore ecology and examine their own relationship to local flora and fauna.
