AVail Spa Condominiums, Vail Colorado, Vail Ski and Board, Colorado school where everyone has fun.  With classes ranging from privates, groups, camps in areas of cross-country, telemark, and adaptive skiing.  Vail's Ski & Snowboard School has classes for every level, interest and age.  Whether you want to perfect your form, overcome a fear or try some tricks in the halfpipe, Vail instructors can get you there.  Plus, they aren’t just experts on the mountain, they’re experts on everything off the mountain too.

Where & When
The Vail Ski & Snowboard School has several locations for your convenience. Please review the locations listed below and the types of lessons they offer. Private Lessons can be booked and purchased through every location. Group Lessons can be purchased at all sales locations but have very specific meeting locations. Please review the chart below to see what location works best for you

Even seasoned riders and skiers get more from the mountain with workshops that challenge their skills and reveal Vail’s hotspots.  Private lessons let you name the time, place and terrain you want to cover and allow you to include up to five family members or friends.  The Burton Learn to Ride Program accelerates the learning curve for beginner snowboarders and will have you linking turns in your first lesson.  The Vail Adaptive Program is recognized as a leader in providing first-class instruction and training to people of all disabilities.  The First Time Skier & Rider Series for adults includes three consecutive days of lessons and lift tickets at a substantial discount.  Specialty programs are available specifically for women, snowboarders, telemark skiers, teens and more.  Kids will have so much fun, they’ll forget they’re learning as they make new friends and learn skills they’ll have forever while exploring the on-mountain Adventure Zones in one of the many Children’s Programs.

What to bring:
Bring warm, waterproof gloves or mittens, goggles or sunglasses with UV protection, sunscreen, warm jacket, hat, snow pants, and a neck warmer

For Private Lessons, advanced reservations are recommended. Private Lessons can be reserved by calling 800-475-4345.
All other adult group lesson products must be purchased in person at one of our Vail Ski & Snowboard School offices. These locations are listed above. We never sell out of our group classes.

Important Lift Ticket Information
Lift tickets are not available with all lesson products but are required for all lessons. Please be aware that all lesson/lift packages provide a lift ticket at a discounted price. This lift ticket is only valid while participating in the purchased lesson.

Alpine All Day Group Lessons (9:45am - 3:30pm)  and  Alpine Half Day Group Lessons (12:35pm - 3:45pm)

Registering
The best time to register for group classes is the day before the lesson start date:
1:00pm-4:30pm. If registering the morning of, please allow a minimum of 1 hour prior to lesson start time to pick up tickets and get fitted for rental equipment.

Girlz on Edge - Ski Excursions for Women
• Join us as we tour the mountain, exploring terrain & technique with Vail Ski School's top women pros.
• For Intermediate to advanced alpine women skiers.
• A great early season warm-up hosted by Deb Benson, SKI magazine ski tester and ambassador for women's skiing.

 She Skis, Women-only Ski Testing Clinic
• Three-day clinic for intermediate and advanced female skiers organized by SKI Magazine’s former women’s ski test director Krista Crabtree.
• Designed to enhance equipment knowledge and technique by testing next year’s woman-specific gear. Includes ski demos of the hottest new gear, technique tips, test cards and debriefing sessions, some meals, après ski wine and cheese parties with tech talks about boots, boot-fitting, women-specific ski needs, plus info on the newest gear from ski companies with raffles, ski-specific yoga and goodie gear bag. First Time Series
• Three consecutive days of adult beginner lessons and lift .
• Offered all season and valid for adults age 15 and up that have no prior ski or snowboard experience.
• Lessons are non-transferable and subject to availability. No partial refunds for unused days.

Pepi’s Wedel Weeks- Celebrating 20 years!
• Designed for accomplished skiers who love the sport and who plan to ski more than just a few days each season. The program focuses around small groups of skiers with similar skill levels, ranging from intermediate to advanced.
• Includes six-day hotel accommodations with full breakfast buffet at Hotel Gramshammer, five-day lift ticket, five days of instructions by specially assigned ski instructors, welcome party and gift, two dinners and a NASTAR race.

Her Turn Workshops just for women
• Three-day journey designed for intermediate or advanced female skiers who are ready to conquer Vail’s powdery Back Bowls and the backcountry experience of Blue Sky Basin. Top female pros guide small groups through terrain and provide technique tips.
• Program includes high-tech ski demos, video feedback, on-mountain lunch, après ski social, program souvenirs plus the opportunity to make new friends and learn from and with other women.

Cindy Nelson Ltd.  Specialty Ski Programs
• Ski with Olympic Medalist Cindy Nelson!  From racing to powder skiing you’ll be inspired by Cindy’s image and motivated by her enthusiasm.  Cindy offers a variety of programs to fit anyone’s needs.

Session The Session•  A Specialized snowboard camp, focusing on parks and pipes, for both male and female riders ages 7 and above.  Camp activities coincide with The Honda Session snowboard event being nationally televised on NBC. •  Call 800-475-4345 for more information.

Free Programs
• Free One-Hour Ski Tips: offered to intermediate and advanced skiers in December, January and February excluding holidays.
• Free Mountain Welcome Tours: deliver mountain orientation to intermediate and expert skiers and snowboarders December through April.
• Free Adult Ski & Snowboard Tips!: Tune up for the season with free tips from the experts at Vail. Intermediate & Advanced skiers depart from Mid-Vail at 11 a.m.  Call ski school for dates.

Vail Children's Ski & Snowboard School
 Kids Holiday Camps at Golden Peak
• Five-day camps for kids 7-12 focus on different elements Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
• Days include meet the mountain or Back Bowls, "Figil" or ski blade day, skier/ rider choice day (group decides), race day and a freestyle day in the terrain parks.• Same instructor and classmates all week in a small group ranging from five to eight.

Teen Program
• Teens 13 and older to cool to hang with mom and dad on the slopes?
• Teen pro instructors show intermediate and advanced skiers and riders a new dimension on the mountain and give them confidence to enter the park and pipe and navigate the mountain with its many secrets.

"Mini Jibbers" For Ages 5 and 6
• Youngsters ages 5-6 can develop agility and balance skills to take to the jib parks.
• Semi-private lesson for beginners incorporates an indoor session using bongo boards, a trampoline and snow skates prior to the on-snow lesson.
• Lesson includes lift ticket plus a nutritious lunch.

NIght Owl Program
• Youngsters ages 7-12 can enjoy fun activities like tubing and snowmobiling on Wednesday and Thursday evenings
• and snow skates prior to the on-snow lesson.
•  All Night Owl programs reservations must be made by noon the day of participation.
